Creating Alternative
Work Futures

Part installation, part performance, part public forum, Workplace is a hybrid art project that creates space for conversation about the futures of work. Asking what the relationship between labour and capital might look like in an age of increased automation, Workplace asks how we might reimagine or reclaim work differently. Workplace examines our current relationship with work to ask what alternative possibilities might exist.

Workplace was commissioned by the City of Melbourne and originally presented at Melbourne Knowledge Week: 21-29 May, 2019. The project is a finalist in the 2021 Incinerator Art Award for Social Change and is currently on display at Incinerator Art Gallery, Melbourne

Workplace is a project developed by Ana Tiquia in collaboration with Corey James, Colby Vexler, James Taylor and Annie Wu.
